Original 1950s vintage, black taffeta, skirt. This stunning skirt has a nipped in waist and then flares out to a full circle. The waist band is black velvet and there is black velvet trim above each of the 3 horizontal over lapping layers of taffeta which form the pattern on the skirt. Underneath the skirt has its own black net petticoat attached, but this doesn't give it fullness, you would need to wear an extra petticoat for that. I bought this fabulous skirt from Etsy USA. It is in great vintage condition and is a UK size 6. The measurements are waist 24 inches, hips free and length from waist to hem is 28. 5 inches.
